Holly Bancroft
The IndependentHolly Bancroft is The Independent’s Social Affairs Correspondent. She covers a range of topics including refugees and asylum, religion, social care, homelessness and prisons. She recently won an Amnesty Media Award for her reporting on the plight of Afghan special forces soldiers left behind by Britain. For her shortlisted reports she worked with The Salvation Army to shed light on the issue of homeless patients who are discharged from hospitals with nowhere to go.
